The EVEX Adaptive Split
How the AI builds a personal split from your training profile and Focused Muscles.
Updated August 18, 2026
What it builds from
The EVEX Adaptive Split is an EVEX MAX feature that uses AI to build a training split specific to you, rather than starting from a fixed template. It pulls directly from your training profile: your goal, your experience level, how many days a week you want to train (anywhere from 1 to 7), your session duration, the equipment you have available, and your Focused Muscles.
Focused Muscles
Focused Muscles let you tell EVEX which areas you want extra attention on. You choose from 15 muscles: Chest, Shoulders, Triceps, Back, Biceps, Trapezius, Forearms, Quads, Hamstrings, Glutes, Abductors, Adductors, Calves, Abs, and Lower Back. The Adaptive Split weights your training toward whatever you select here, on top of the balanced coverage it already builds in.
Rebuilding your split
Because the Adaptive Split is generated from your profile, changing something that affects it, your days per week or your Focused Muscles, for example, means the split it built may no longer fit. When that happens, EVEX asks whether you want to rebuild it immediately with Rebuild Now, or keep your current queue running as-is until it naturally resets with Next Monday. Neither option touches your workout history.
Where to find it
The Adaptive Split lives in Workout Settings under Split, alongside Browse Preset Splits, Create a Custom Split, and Browse My Splits. It's the place to go whether you're turning the Adaptive Split on for the first time or switching back to a preset or custom split later. See The complete guide to splits in EVEX for how splits work once you're running one, and What EVEX MAX includes for the rest of what MAX unlocks.
